FIELD NOTE 06 / COMPLETION

Queen's Domain Demo Bestiary: Find the Missing Fish

QUICK ANSWER

What is the easy-to-miss bestiary entry?

Check the fish near the starting beach if your demo bestiary is incomplete. Players in several independent discussions identify them as the missed entry. Aim throwing knives at the fins above the surface; a hit can draw fish toward you, where a melee weapon can finish them. Recheck the bestiary afterward.

BEFORE YOU START
An incomplete demo bestiary, especially an unexamined shoreline.

How do you record the shoreline fish?

  1. Return to the starting beach and look for a fin above the surface.
  2. Aim a throwing knife at the exposed fin, not the surrounding water.
  3. After a hit, watch for the fish moving toward you.
  4. Finish it with a suitable weapon if it comes within melee range.
  5. Open the bestiary and check whether the missing entry has changed.

What should you do when the attempt fails?

What happensWhat to try
Knife disappears into waterRaise or adjust your aim toward the exposed fin.
Fish is visible but still aliveSeeing or hitting it is not the completion check; finish the encounter.
Starting-beach approach is awkwardA separate player reports using a spear near the boss-battle area.
Fish is already recordedRead the remaining journal entry; fish are a common omission, not the only possible one.

Does Knowledge Keeper need more than 100%?

No. The demo achievement asks for 100% bestiary completion. Higher percentages reported by sword-jump explorers involve creatures beyond the ordinary demo area; they are a different exploration goal.
